[UPDATE: I posted here after returning from Geneva.]
I hate to miss the first weekend of the Fringe, this raucous Edmonton invention of imagination and theatrical entrepreneurship. As the rest of you check out your first plays I’ll be on my way to Switzerland, where I’ve been asked by the World Economic Forum to represent Edmonton in a program called Global Shapers.
It’s a group of outstanding young leaders in business, entrepreneurship, the arts, politics, health and social enterprise from around the world. To be clear, the trip is on the World Economic Forum, not taxpayers. This isn’t official city business, but my lens is Edmonton. What can I learn from other leaders to strengthen my city? How can I share Edmonton’s story with people from around the world?
