2017 Donor Disclosure

As we’ve done in past campaigns, I have committed to providing a list of donors that have helped our campaign. While candidates don’t technically have to release their campaign contributions until well after the election, I think it is important that voters have the right to know who is funding my campaign before casting their ballot.

In a previous policy announcement, I committed to strengthening integrity at City Hall and this included the creation of an online Lobbyist Registry. As part of our ongoing push to make the City open by default, I will create a registry for the Office of the Mayor that will require any person or organization (or their representative) to register if they are requesting a meeting regarding any financial interest in a City decision, and that any meetings be logged and reported publicly on a regular basis. This would not apply to constituents unless they have an financial interest in a property or purchasing decision. I will work with City Councillors to adopt this same transparent process.

To date, I have raised a total of $326,161.98 from a total of 505 donors. We have 173 donors who have given less than $100, while 332 donors gave over that amount.

I’d like to thank everyone who has given to our campaign – we truly could not have done this without your help and I appreciate the vision we share for the future of our city. Your support has been inspiring.

  2. If this city can give a billionaire all revenues and use of an area for 25 plus years ( and foolishly promote it as a good idea) and we get stuck will all the maintenance costs, we as taxpayers, should have an elevated LRT. NO ONE should have to die or have their house burn down because of LRT traffic tie ups There is no long term accountable vision for this city from ANYONE on that sat on the previous council.
